A group of kind hearted Singaporean came together to raise fund to purchase blankets for the Monks at Chusing Gonpa for this coming winter. Sincere thanks to Darsho Ugyen and family for helping to purchase and deliver them to Chusing Gonpa on 27th Novermber 2016. My first visit to Chishing Samten Choeling Gonpa and meeting the young monks in 2014

I was brief by the Principal that some of these young monks are left at the Monastery because their parents are unable to support them and require sponsorship for the meals and clothing. I was deeply touched by their sincerity and genuine needs after inspecting their accommodation and eat the food they served me. It was simple white rice and some vegetables. These young monks are warm and like all children, innocent who requires our assistance. For USD200 a year, we can support one young monk for his food, clothing and monastery education. Together with my friends, Irene Leong & family, Yik Nam Yeong & family, Cipto Handoyo, we are supporting 13 young monks annually.

Through this, I have learned to be more conscious on what I spent on things that I don't need. I will think twice before I spend for the amount can help these young monks in their growing up age.

This is NOT about cloud funding for any personal gains, I encourage contributors to visit these young monks at Chishing Samten Choeling Gonpa and deliver your contribution personally. I am sure they will be delighted to see you.
